White Calla lilies are said to be a good luck charm for wedding bliss. They also can represent purity, faith and gratitude. Natives to South Africa they can bloom year-round if conditions are right.
A white calla lily (Zantedeschia aethiopica) is an elegant, trumpet-shaped flower known for its smooth, curving petals (technically a spathe) that wrap around a central yellow spike (spadix). The spathe is typically a pure, creamy white, creating a striking contrast against its glossy, dark green, arrow-shaped leaves.
Calla lilies symbolize purity, elegance, and renewal, making them popular in weddings, funerals, and formal arrangements. They thrive in moist environments and can grow up to 24–36 inches tall, blooming in late spring to summer. Their minimalist beauty and graceful structure give them a timeless and sophisticated appeal.
